How we analyse & disclaimers

How we compile this

Ingredient lists are gathered from brands' own catalogues and public ingredient databases and cross-referenced. Each ingredient is explained from public reference databases (EU CosIng, PubChem, CIR safety reviews) and peer-reviewed literature; cited studies are verified against PubMed (NCBI E-utilities) and dropped if they don't resolve. India-relevant flags (fungal-acne/Malassezia substrates, comedogenicity, EU-declared allergens, drying alcohols) are derived from dermatology reference data. All explanations are written originally; no third-party editorial descriptions are reproduced.

What dermatologist recommendations mean here

Concern guidance is summarised from published dermatology sources and described as commonly-advised practice patterns — not outcomes, cures or treatment guarantees. Individual tolerance varies.

Editorial stance

This is a neutral ingredient and skin-concern reference. We describe ingredients and the evidence around them; we do not rank, recommend, endorse or sell specific brands or products. Where products are listed, it is only to document factually which products contain an ingredient.

Not medical advice

Nothing here is medical advice or a diagnosis. Reported side effects describe typical cosmetic use in the literature, not a prediction for your skin. Patch-test new actives and consult a dermatologist for a personalised plan — including the free CureSkin assessment.
