Eusolex T-AVO is a trade name for a microfine (coated) titanium dioxide-based UV filter used in sunscreens to provide broad-spectrum protection by scattering and absorbing UV radiation. As an inorganic (physical) filter, it is generally photostable and well tolerated.
| Reported effect | How often | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| White cast or visible residue on skin | Common | Cosmetic effect from titanium dioxide particles rather than a health adverse event. |
| Mild contact irritation or dryness | Uncommon | Usually related to the overall formulation rather than the filter itself. |
| Allergic contact dermatitis | Rare | Titanium dioxide is considered a low-sensitizing ingredient; reactions are infrequently reported. |
| Eye irritation or stinging | Rare | May occur if product migrates into the eyes. |
