Sorbic acid ek natural organic acid hai jo cosmetics mein preservative ke taur par use hota hai. Yeh molds aur yeasts ke against bahut effective hota hai, especially jab pH acidic ho. Isse product ki shelf life badhti hai aur yeh low concentration mein (0.1-0.2% ke around) use hota hai taaki skin irritation na ho. Yeh commonly face serums, creams aur liquid products mein daalte hain taki product kharab na ho aur long time tak fresh rahe.
