Imagine having clear, smooth and healthy skin sans any effort. All of us would love that, but then it almost an impossible dream. In reality, nothing comes easy. You’ll have to put in some time and effort to get beautiful skin. Now, the question is, who has the time to visit salons to pamper and nourish the skin. There’s work, home and a never-ending list of things to do. What if we told you that you could do a face clean-up at home? Yes, you can do that without visiting a salon. We’ll be sharing some easy steps that won’t take much time and still give you the kind of skin you’ve always wanted.

Here are 5 Simple Steps to Perform a  Face Clean-Up

Face Clean-Up Step 1

Cleanse

Use a facial cleanser or face wash and lukewarm water to wash your face. Pat the skin dry with a towel.

What it does: Removes makeup & dirt particles from your face.

Face Clean-Up Step 2

Exfoliate

Use a mild exfoliant and rub it gently on your face except for the area around your eyes. Massage it for about 2-3 minutes in a circular motion. Later, you can wash it off.

What it does: Boosts blood circulation & sheds away dead skin cells.

Face Clean-Up Step 3

Steam

You can take a large bowl with hot water. Ensure that the water isn’t too hot and instead something tolerable for your skin. Now, use a towel to cover your head and bend over the steaming bowl of water. Remember to keep your face a few inches away from the water. You can do this for around 3-5 minutes.

What it does: Softens the skin & opens up the pores.

Face Clean-Up Step 4

Face Mask

Apply a face mask that’s ideal for your skin type. You can use a store-bought face mask or create one for yourself with ingredients such as banana, papaya, turmeric, gram flour or besan. While using natural ingredients, always make sure that you aren’t allergic to any of the ingredients. Allow the face mask to dry for about 15-20 minutes. Once it dries, rinse it with lukewarm water.

What it does: Provides your skin with the nutrients it needs & reduces fine lines.

Face Clean-Up Step 5

Moisturise

Finally, apply a hydrating moisturiser on your face and neck. Gently massage it in circular motion till your skin absorbs it.

What it does: Hydrates your skin preventing flakiness and itchiness.

Glowing Skin From the Comforts of Your Home

It’s always rejuvenating to visit a salon for a clean-up. However, not everyone has the time and luxury to do so. Though, that doesn’t mean you need to forget about having glowing skin. You can always opt for a clean-up session at your home without the need to step out anywhere. They don’t even have to be elaborate steps; instead, a simple routine with few basic steps are good enough to give you radiant, clear and supple skin.
