skin care during quarantine

Remaining indoors is boring than you thought it could be? Although it is a good way to protect yourself and others from the coronavirus, we human beings are not great at having free time. We easily turn restless day-in, day-out, not really knowing what to do with oneself, don’t we?

With our routines upset & movements restricted, it is quite common for anyone to feel stressed and depressed.  This, surely, affects your health especially your skin’s health in a bad way for which you’ll repent later! So, no matter which situation you find yourself in, taking care of yourself must be your priority, because if health is lost, everything is lost!

While COVID-19 is taking its course, make it a point to take good care of yourself!

Here’s how following self-care and skincare routines comfort you while quarantined:

  • Eat healthy! If this is done right, 90% of your health issues just vanish. There’s nothing better than good health, isn’t it?
  • Take a break from the depressing news, watch something fun instead! Stress affects your immunity which in turn brings down your health.
  • Try doing activities you enjoy. Reconnect with hobbies you rarely have time for. After all, life is meant to be joyful.
  • Exercise daily! It’s a great tool for managing anxiety and stress and will help you pass time throughout the day.
  • Try to get enough sleep (but not too much!). They say sleep is the best medicine.
  • Don’t encourage negative opinions, news from people you know. Practice a little emotional distancing. Negative thoughts affect you negatively.
  • Since you’re bound to find yourself with plenty of time in the mornings and night, stick with your regular skincare routine.
  • The good thing about staying indoors is that your skin will be protected from pollutants, dirt and UV rays. Make use of this time.
  • Pamper yourself with face masks, hair treatments and more in order to look and feel your best while on lockdown.
  • Also, include beauty routines you don’t have time for during a normal workweek. For that, your skin will be thankful.
  • Be thoughtful and intentional about how you’re treating yourself and your body. The better you treat your body, the better it treats you!
  • If you have pre-health conditions, continue your treatment and be aware of new or worsening symptoms.
  • Never hesitate to get help when needed.
