how to prevent coronavirus

Did you know that the No. 1 way to prevent coronavirus isn’t wearing a face mask? Even though the masks are visible on people wherever you see, it is not at all effective in preventing the general public from catching coronavirus.

Here are 8 things you should know about – who should wear mask, when to wear it & more:

  1. Healthy & uninfected people shouldn’t wear mask”, says centres of disease control and prevention.
  2. Wearing a mask is not necessary unless you’re
    Sick
    – Living with someone who is diagnosed with COVID-19.
    – Traveling to a crowded area.
    – Above 50 yrs of age.
    – Just out from Corona infected area.
    Visiting in a hospital.
    – A doctor, nurse or health care professional treating patients with flu-like symptoms.
  3. Masks are critical for people who have the disease or even show symptoms of COVID-19. When you wear masks, it helps prevent the spread of infection.
  4. Masks help health care workers, who are constantly in close contact with lots of sick people coughing in their faces, to avoid infection.
  5. If you’re living with an infected person or, perhaps, if you live in an area with a very high rate of disease in the community, it’s better to wear mask.
  6. A regular surgical mask is sufficient against coronavirus. It keeps out cough droplets which is just fine.
  7. Not washing your hands frequently and touching your face with bare hands is far worse than not wear mask.
  8. As the supply of masks isn’t able to meet the demand, it’s better if you stop buying them. Leaving the masks to the health care workers is more important. They need the mask more than we do and if they’re not protected well, our entire community is at risk!
