Home! Sounds like a safe place. But, does it keep you 100% safe from coronavirus? The answer is NO!

Well, it’s true that the new Coronavirus doesn’t come knocking at your door, but it can certainly find its way to your house without you even noticing it. This is why cleaning your home, your things and yourself frequently is as important as staying indoors. 

Here’s all you need to know about killing the killer – coronavirus inside your house:

  1. Take time to Clean & disinfect your house: There’s a difference between the two.
    Cleaning is removing just the dirt.
    Disinfecting, on the other hand, is using chemicals to kill germs, bacteria & viruses.
  2. Cleaning doesn’t kill coronavirus completely, disinfectant does. Stock up enough disinfectants.
    Note down the instruction on how long the product should remain on the surface.
    Avoid mixing cleaning products, it might turn ineffective.
  3. Your phone goes everywhere with you, so there are high chances that it picks up germs along the way. Clean its surface with alcohol wipes frequently to avoid infections.
  4. Clean commonly touched areas daily. This includes –
    Doorknobs,
    Light switches,
    TV remotes,
    Toilets,
    Chairs handle,
    Sinks,
    Taps and many more! Identify and clean them.
  5. Maintain enough hygiene when it comes to cooking.

  7. Never let your bathrooms go uncleaned. Prioritize it over others.
  8. Frequently clean all the bathroom surfaces, including the toilet, shower and sink.
  9. Separate toothbrushes from each other.
  10. Wash towels regularly, each one gets a towel. Don’t share them.
  11.  Leave “dirty” items at the door. “. Take off your shoes, slippers and keep them at the doorway or garage.
  12. Change your clothes once you reach home after a long time.
  13. Clean your keyboard and mouse frequently.
  14. Wash your clothes with water that is hotter-than-usual to reduce bacteria.
